If you’ll ask my friends to describe what I like in 3 words, they’ll no doubt say stripes, puppies and food. I love cooking food, and I like eating food even more! And now I have found shopping for food much more enjoyable thanks to lovely and sort-of local Honest2Goodness farmers market in Glasnevin.
It sounds simple but there’s nothing like whizzing downhill on my Dublin City Bike to Dame Street on a Sunday morning. When there’s no traffic it’s so easy to manoeuvre around the potholes. It gets even better when I spot the one and only free spot at the bike station outside Dublin Castle. Bingo!
I well remember my first impression of Dublin some 15 years ago while walking all the way by the Guinness Factory along the River Liffey towards the city centre: quiet and relaxed.
Here and there a lonely pedestrian passing by, a few cars in the rush (yes, they were moving back then) and the seagulls, so many seagulls. They flew back and forth, sometimes with the impression they’ll touch your shoulder - so unafraid and used to people they were.
